However you could eat 22 pounds of broccoli each day if your appetite was big enough, or three and a half pounds of strawberries, or two and a fifth pounds of nugget pumpkin, so don't expect me to believe that you are starving!

As the Atkins diet points out, indigestible carbs (fiber) don't count. The book Atkins for life says The atkins difference is that the carbs you eat must be high-quality carbs - the kind that satisfy your appetite and supply you with vitamins, minerals, and other phytonutrients.
