New research shows that exposure to viral infections or endotoxins in early childhood protects a child from asthma. In this study, 1314 children were followed from birth to 7 years, and the number and type of infections were assessed by questionnaire. Children who had had two or more upper respiratory tract infections, such as rhinitis, had the risk of doctor-diagnosed asthma reduced from 6.3% to 3.2% at age 7. If the child's parents had a history of asthma the reduction was even greater (10.3% to 4.7%).
Breast Feeding
If you give a baby anything other than breast milk for the first four months it is much more likely to get asthma and other allergies later in life.

The UV exposure caused the mice to produce a type of cell that can be transferred into other mice before they have been sensitized to an allergen, and will prevent the development of symptoms in the new mice.

But isn't sunlight bad for you? No, that is a scam to sell more sun creams. Sunburn is bad for you, but that is just a case of getting too much of a good thing. Bring it into your asthma lifestyle gradually. A tan protects you from sunburn.
A sun tan protects you from getting an overdose of vitamin D from the sun. But if you are taking cod liver oil for vitamin D you could get an overdose in the summer. So stop taking it until the autumn.
Poisoning Yourself
You may not realize it, but your home has probably 20 times as much poison in the air as you would find on a road in the middle of a city. And you are breathing it for most of the day. Formaldehyde is the most common poison, and your house almost certainly has formaldehyde in the air. What do you think that does for your asthma lifestyle?
