You need to know more about commonly prescribed asthma medications
Medically defined, Asthma is a chronic disease that involves inflammation of the airways superimposed with recurrent episodes of limited airflow, mucus production, and cough.
Now, there are two general types of asthma medications which supposedly give you long-term control or quick relief of symptoms.
*Anti-inflammatory drugs.
*Bronchodilators.
However, there are several problems and side effects associated with commonly prescribed asthma medication, being as though most people have a tendency to misuse or outright overuse them.
Even experts in the medical field in regards to asthma suggest that most over-the-counter drugs are not meant for long-term use, yet some people use them every day to relieve asthma symptoms. Because they do not control asthma, people who take them may not be receiving proper treatment of their asthma.
Furthermore, it begs to differ whether such OTC forms of asthma medication are even worth their use:
Consider the following:
* Increased appetite
* Weight gain
* Stomach irritation
* Bone thinning
* Dependency: your body can go into withdrawal if you stop taking various forms of commonly prescribed asthma medication all of a sudden.
From experience, I think it's safe to say a natural alternative to commonly prescribed asthma medication or most (if not all) forms of synthetic asthma treatment may very well be worth a trial.
Suffice it to say that such an alternative approach can't hurt and may possibly help immensely!
