Healthy recipes make life worth living. OK, you can smoke all you like knowing that lung transplants are possible, or drink all you like knowing that liver transplants are possible or use as many unsaturated vegetable oils as you like knowing that heart transplants are possible and surgeons are getting more and more clever at removing cancerous tumors.Is That Really Healthy Living?
After your transplant or your chemotherapy your immune system will be useless. You will be unable to hug your families because even a common cold bug could kill you with pneumonia, as your immune system doesn't work. Is that really living?
Your diets could include only convenience foods, already manufactured, with all the goodness cooked out of them and lots of artificial flavoring coloring and preservative poisons added.
That will save you a lot of time in the kitchen but what are you going to do with the time you save? Will you be putting on weight just sitting in front of the television, watching reruns of old film and poor quality reality TV? Is that really living? Is that the lifestyle you really want?
Are you too tired to be interested in a different lifestyle? That too is the result of poisons in your food and too little exercise.
Positive Alternatives
Isn't it a more attractive alternative for your healthy families to enjoy some outdoor living? Oh, I know I hated being forced to go for walks with the family, but I enjoyed them once I was walking. Especially throwing sticks for the dog to bring back.
Gourmet Eating
If you are the cook you can really enjoy what you eat. All the common fruit and vegetables have enormous health benefits. Do you want to avoid getting cancer but you hate tomatoes which are loaded with lycopene? No problem. You are the cook! Just use watermelon instead. It is loaded with lycopene and you don't even need to cook it!
What I am saying is that if you hate one kind of food, choose another with the same benefits.
What, you don't like either of these? Fine, other foods that prevent cancer include garlic, broccoli, cranberries, blueberries, pumpkin, brussel sprouts... if you hate them all you're not really interested in a healthy diet. Children are now eating brussel sprouts raw and enjoying them because they haven't been told that they are horrible.
My sister used to enjoy eating lemons because everyone forgot to tell her that they were too sour before she discovered that she liked them.
Other healthy foods include curry, chilies, horse radish, mustard... you get the idea, some of these may sound like living dangerously to you, but one man's food is another man's poison.
If you replace all your vegetable oils with coconut oil it will be good for your healthy heart and your energy and help you towards a healthy weight.

To sum up, my favorite healthy recipes say that to be healthy avoid the poisons (such as beer), eat the good stuff, and get enough exercise.
